a time apart...

our time in my favorite US city (a great indulgence on your part, D. - thank you!) was much needed & very refreshing...

rock solid...i hope it could be what is said of us when we are gone from this place...
you at center of my dreamy world - caught between the holy city & italia...
the address of my heart for this escape, for i felt like a queen...
swirling, gracefully to a place where we were centered & grateful...contemplating all that is a blessing for us...
our path lit with beauty...
by sun & candlelight...
a palette of unimaginable colors...
secret passages of the heart...
a window into the soul...
dreams of our future...
the music of the heart...heard by all who dare to listen...
two spoons, one dish...
moving forward in faith...
a rainbow of love & laughter...
a sign, for sure...a heavenly triprefreshed in the holy city...charleston sc...

I adore your pictures and am not just a little envious. :) I love the window of the soul, the picture of the lamp hanging from the swirly wrought iron and the lamp in the window. So lovely.

What a great Birthday present from an wonderful partner! Did you wear your crown?
Thank you for your private tour of Charleston. She has been calling me to come visit. I have two friends who live there. One for her whole life!

ps Did you pass Maggar Hats? Just curious.

Just realized I was mistaken, your trip was just for FUN to celebrate life not you birthday!

Gorgeous photos. I think I've loved every southern US city I've ever been to, but I need to get to more. They just have a completely different feel than a New York, Philly, Boston, Chicago.

*sigh*

Great photos, and I'm glad you got a little break :)

karina...thank you - the city just reeks of beauty so it is not hard to present it!

bri...i was hooked on windows for this trip. i don't know why, but over half of my photos are windows. must be a story there somehow...

melanie...it is charleston, south carolina...& it is just as lovely as it looks in photos...it is my favorite US city (followed closely by NYC, of course!)

rochambeau...it was a pleasure to stroll with you! it wasn't my b-day (but actually is was right after...so it did have some celebration involved). alas, i did not wear the crown (too hot even for that!). i did pass Maggar Hats (on King ST, i believe)...i will check my photos closely - i may have a window shot! your lucky, lucky friends, calling charleston home. it used to be my home too & i miss it!

corey...& you too! it is fun to have a friend stroll with you. i always enjoy french "travel" with you :)

marita...thank you for joining me on a charming tour!

sognatrice...you got that right! not that i don't love NYC & Philly, but...i am a southern gal at heart!
