I told you we are the mini-Weather Channel here by the bay and I was not kidding. I have given Little Man some blog time to do it up right...and without further adieu, i present photo ops from our very own lil' Jim (as in Jim Cantore...and no, Little Man's name is not really "Jim")
If you check the kids' computer & Little Man is in the house, you can bet this is what you will see...
Yep, that's right - some sort of weather map, usually local radar or tropical updates!
If the TV is on, it's here...
Goodness, we even set timers to be sure not to miss the Tropical Update!
For his May birthday, all the guy wanted was a serious weather station. Going outside in 30+mph winds to record a wind speed with his hand-held anenometer wasn't cutting it anymore. This new contraption is serious business...
This is the inside screen that displays temperature, wind speed (sustained, gusts, & direction), humidity, dew point, barometric pressure, and rainfall totals. Whew! All outdoor gauges report to this via wireless communication. It even has solar backup for the occasional power outage!
On the end of the dock, we have our wind gauge...
...and on the top deck (look closely, right corner) we have mounted the rain gauge & thermometer...
All weather...all the time...here by the bay!
