playing with fire...

all it takes is a spark...a moment in tune with the Holy Spirit...a bit of hard work & a dream, rubbed together...wrapped in prayer...liberally dosed with patience & some teamwork too...soon the dream catches on...fan the flames of passion...live what you were meant to live!...stand back & warm your hands, bask in the glow...watch as the dream sheds light...& draws others near
keep your dreams alive...fan the fire in your heart!!
(campfire extraordinaire~~to warm heart & hands~~ brought to you by boyworld)

20. a calm twilight & a warm campfire...surrounded by love & laughter
21. that moment of realization...i've turned the corner of something & it feels better!
22. warm sun on my face, hound at my feet, coffee in hand, first hugs of the morning...slow day begins...

Thank you so much for visiting and posting your kind words at my poetry blog. Tanka, haiku, haibun, sijo -- all are such wonderful, sensitive forms of poetry. There are good editors at the various magazines of Japanese forms who even provide guidance to those who submit their poetry (that is how I started learning -- through submitting haiku, then tanka, and so on, and joining online groups which had discussion; later I helped organize online seminars, classes and workshops for members of the main club where I was a member. I'm still learning, although I've been away from poetry communities and publication for several years.

I have also been exploring your amazing blogs (and your children's and dog's blog :^D), and enjoying your beautiful joy in God, family, life and arts (especially wonderful foods).

'qualcosa di bello' (my youngest, baby granddaughter is named Bella...Isabella Grace), you are blessed and a blessing in this world. Your writing is filled to overflowing with our Father's Spirit. And your loving, nurturing spirit throughout your blog refreshes me and makes me fall newly in love with life again and again. You are blessed. I think I will visit often! Thank you for sharing your beautiful life, mind, photos and words on your blogs!

what an inspiration - oh how I love bonfires - we usually have one in the snow New Year's eve - just beautiful...

and those birds were thinking of you - and are teaching me Italian - one phrase at a time...

Beautiful! What a great metaphor. Sometimes, I must realize it can take a very long time to gather the sticks and rub them together to realize my dream. You are making me think maybe I need to get a few more hands involved in the "fire building" effort. Thank you for this beautiful post. For your unique voice!

What a lovely post. It reminded me of one of the readings at yesterday's Mass:

'That is why I would remind you to fan the flame of that special grace which God kindled in you...a spirit of action, of love and of discipline.'
